Humanity is becoming more sensitive, which also means more conscious.
At the same time, there is more stimulation than ever before - with a rapid fire stream of information constantly coming from phones, media, wifi, chemicals in the environment…. a whole plethora of visible and invisible, gross and subtle influences.
Sensitivity, in this context, could become experienced as burdensome and problematic. Desensitisation, numbing out, might seem. desirable. Yet this is not our destiny. What to do?!
These days it is widely known that the nervous system is key in this. Kundalini Yoga, however, vastly expands this understanding. The nervous system is indeed central, yet Kundalini teachings provide a map that includes much much more.
The kriyas (yoga sets), pranayamas (breathing techniques) and meditations we practice work on multi dimensions of our being to truly bring us into a dynamically balanced state. The practice cultivates a sense of true self-security, in which our sensitivity is experienced as a boon. We go from feeling numb or over-stimulated to feeling safely, superbly sensitive.
