AQUARIAN SADHANA AT MOSMAN/LEIGHTON BEACH
Wednesday mornings are Sadhana mornings! In Summer Sadhana is at Mosman/Leighton Beach.
Aquarian Sadhana is the daily spiritual practice given to us by Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, to do to prepare us for this age in which we live. Now that we are more and more in it, this information age, we need sadhana more than ever - to let go of our daily tensions, connect deeply to ourselves and our source and to be touched and in touch with the greater spirit that moves us all.
Sadhana generally involves Japji (Song of the Soul - a prayer which gives a blueprint of human evolution), Kundalini Yoga kriya, relaxation and meditative chanting of mantras.
The process of sadhana moves through three levels of our beings - the animal, the human and the divine. We conclude sadhana at 7.30am. Then for those with time and who wish to stay, we follow this with a prayer and a reading.
WHEN: Wednesdays 5am to 7.30am
WHERE: Mosman-Leighton Beach south of the dog beach, opposite the old footbridge. Park opposite the footbridge and take the southern-most track down to the beach. The class will be in a space a little way to the left of that track.
BRING: mat and/or towel, blanket (can be chilly in the early morning) and water.
COST: free
BENEFITS: doing practice at home alone is fantastic. Doing it in a group, the benefits are multiplied by the number of people present. Spiritual community (sangat) offers you a haven and company in which you can strengthen your self and heal feelings of isolation. Together we are strong. Yoga in the open with the elements is also incredibly healing.
